Torgelow 2009
There is this village called Torgelow outside of Berlin. There is this house in the beginning of the village. There is this guy Jan and his band, who put their whole vintage instruments in it, to record an album. There is this tape machine and this analogue mixer. There are those 20 people playing singing recording eating drinking sleeping living there right now. There is this music, sounding old and being new.
I went there and said hi.

Wow just got an email, that my short short "Encounter" is chosen to be shown at the One Minute Video-Film Festival in Aarau, Switzerland this year in August 21-23. I totally had forgotten that I had sent them this.

A Room With a View.
My friend Lilia moved in a new flat today. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked ahead from the kitchen.
It's crazy, that we don't see and realize so many things in the city, when we walk on the streets.

The Video Conversation.
Here some pictures from the one night show of my Berlin-Istanbul video work last week. Soon I am going to upload a mini-website dedicated to the project, with the full concept and video examples, dates and everything. Will keep you posted.
The very first presentation of the project went great! I am so happy and relieved, that everything worked out well. So thankful and stoked that my friends, co-students and other people came and showed interest and love. After so many months, especially in the last days of work I just wanted it to be done and almost "forgot" my central motivation and reason to make this work. It all came back to me with great power at the moment of the presentation and the talk after that.
Great feeling after making the circle round - vision, idea, realisation, presentation.
The guy on the mic was the live translator Fatih. Such a cool guy! He did an amazing job and made everything so fresh, real and close. I had the feeling that everyone was looking forward to hear the translation from "the other side".
